We are always striving to improve the welfare and enrichment of the animals in our care, and right now, we have a special request: we need cat scratchers and litter boxes to help make the lives hundreds of cats that come into our care every year happier and more comfortable. 

Why Cat Scratchers?

Cats have a natural instinct to scratch, which helps them stretch, mark territory, and maintain healthy claws. In the shelter, where space is limited, scratchers are crucial for both their mental and physical health. Having a scratcher in every kennel will provide our cats with a vital outlet for these natural behaviours, reducing stress and keeping them happy. 

Why Litter Boxes and Metal Scoopers?

We’re also upgrading from disposable cardboard trays to reusable plastic litter boxes and sturdy metal scoopers. These will create a more consistent, cleaner environment for our cats while reducing waste and helping the environment.
