The Toronto Humane Society offers public vaccination services for healthy dogs and cats and puppies and kittens that are at least 6 weeks of age. Vaccination services are available up to five days a week, including Saturdays!
Vaccination Clinic Hours:
Monday - Friday: 4:30pm – 8:00pm (last appointment at 7:45pm)
Saturday: 10:00am – 2:00pm (last appointment at 1:45pm)

All appointments are 15 minutes which include a brief physical examination (to ensure your pet is healthy enough to receive vaccines), any vaccinations they may require, and a complimentary deworming for puppies and kittens (for intestinal parasites).
Please ensure that you arrive on time for your appointment (consider increasing travel time to accommodate for weather and traffic) as late appointments will not be honored and subject to a no show fee ($25) or forfeit of one’s deposit. 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment and those cancelled with less than 48 hours are subject to a $25 short cancellation fee.
December: 7th, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 31st
January: 2nd, 18th
**Please note: If you have scheduled your animal to receive their very first vaccination, a booster appointment will be required in 3-4 weeks. Please schedule an appointment with your veterinarian or check to see our availability as most appointments are booked a full month in advance.**
If you wish to book a vaccination appointment please note we are still accepting appointments for the end of December & January. In the event you would like something earlier we welcome you to call back frequently for cancellations, but please note we do not have the ability to keep a waitlist.
If you wish to book an appointment in February please hold off requests until: Tuesday January 3rd.
If you intend to travel with your pet please note that we do not complete documentation necessary for travel, nor health examinations to ensure your pet is healthy enough to travel.
Vaccinations we offer:
- FVRCP – Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calici, Panleukopenia (cats)
- DA2PPV – Distemper, Adenovirus Type II (Hepatitus), Parainfluenza, Parvovirus (dogs)
- Rabies (cats & dogs)
**Please note we do not offer: FeLV - Feline Leukemia Virus (cats), Leptospirosis (dogs), Bordetella – Canine Kennel Cough (dogs) or Lyme (dogs)

Heartworm testing has now concluded for the 2016 season. We will resume offering heartworm testing and preventatives on April 15th 2017.

The Toronto Humane Society encourages all clients of our public clinics to develop a regular relationship with their local full-service veterinarian and to inform themselves about responsible pet ownership.
Vaccination services are provided through the Toronto Humane Society’s Spay Neuter Services within the Toronto Humane Society at 11 River Street in the east end of downtown Toronto. Please make your way to the bright green door towards the back of the building.
Parking is available in the visitors parking lot behind the shelter (spaces are limited), or temporarily on the loading ramp during intake and discharge hours only. Please do not block any garbage/ recycling bins or fire routes for both the shelter and neighboring condo/townhome complexes.
