Milo

Milo

October 31, 2019

My husband and I adopted Milo (formerly Apollo) back in July, and wanted to let you know how well he is doing, and what a blessing he has been in our lives. I have been a dog lover my whole life and have wanted to adopt a dog for years. I never gave up hope, knowing our perfect pup was out there somewhere.

When they brought Milo into the room with us, it was love at first sight, and we both knew he was coming home with us. Although it took him a little bit of time to warm up, and trust us fully, he is now our little shadow, and is incredibly loving and affectionate. He has become the biggest cuddle bug, and is such a sweetheart. He has even warmed up to his cat brother and sister, who can be a handful at times.

Whether we are going for a hike, drive, boat ride or just binge watching a series on Netflix, he is so content to be by our side. He is such a happy dog and always looks like he is smiling. He is extremely playful, and people often mistake him for a puppy although he is 5 years old. He has brought so much joy to our lives and has made our family whole. We are not sure who rescued who. Thank you for brining our best friend into our lives!

Chaco

We adopted Chaco back in August, 2018 from the Toronto Humane Society. Chaco was a fearful dog, extremely shy, recovering from heart worm and was taking anti depressants. When we brought him home, he hid in the closet for about two weeks until slowly we were able to gain his trust. But Chaco never gave up, and today he is a healthy and happy dog.

He has learned so many new tricks and loves his belly rubs. He loves going for walks, chasing squirrels in the backyard, and cuddling while watching tv. We are so happy that Chaco came into our lives, thank you Toronto Humane Society for your work.

Blueberry

My new kitten Blueberry (formerly Calleloo) has been doing so well since I brought him home in August.

My other cat Ser Pounce, whom I adopted from THS in May, started showing signs of anxiety while I was at work, so I knew I had to get him a buddy. Little Blueberry was the sweetest little fuzzy bean that I thought would fit right in. It only took about 2 days until Ser Pounce warmed up to his new kitten pal and they have been inseparable ever since, forever running and playing, cuddling or giving each other licks, they are best buddies.

Two cats are so much better than one! They both bring me so much joy between Ser Pounce being a cuddly lap cat, and Blueberry’s goofiest kitten antics I’m so happy to have them both.

(formerly Alchemist and Scientist)

These two inseparable brothers were adopted just 1 week ago and have settled into their new forever home already. From cuddling to playtime, Mitch and Mo have made their new parents so happy. They love to explore and play with all of their new toys.

Bentley

Bentley

October 03, 2019

When we first brought Bentley home, I’m not going to lie - it was tough. He was sometimes unfriendly and liked to question authority. But we’re almost 2 years in, and he’s come SO far. He’s chock-full of personality and goes out of his way to make friends with everyone. He has 7 fewer teeth than when we brought him home (due to a complicated dental surgery last year), but that hasn’t stopped him from shining his goofy smile in exchange for a head scratch.

His coat has filled out beautifully, and while he’s getting more and more white under his chin, he’s so spunky that people are always shocked to hear he’s 12. He’s so smart, and loves to learn new tricks (when treats are involved of course) - he does everything from either paw to both paws, to spinning in either direction, to rolling over and playing dead, and more.

What we love the most is what a cuddle fiend he’s become… he will literally beg for a morning cuddle sesh or a good belly rub. We may have had a bit of a rocky start with Bentley, but now he’s such an integral part of our family. Thank you for bringing him into our lives!
