Moo-Moo and Dora

Moo-Moo and Dora

I adopted these two female three year old Guinea pigs from The Toronto Humane Society just over 1 year ago today. Fluffy and Dora (Moo-Moo and Dora) have been wonderful companions to my old gal Cha-Cha who lost her life long friend last year. Since being here, they have learned to enjoy their treats such as peppers, cucumber, cantaloupe etc. They love to stand up and beg in their cage. Moo-Moo has adjusted to getting baths and haircuts and Dora loves chattering her teeth when being bugged by the other two. They all like to sleep and huddle together and when the weather is cold they love to hide and sleep in their fleece cuddle sacks. They love to eat and tear apart Timothy Hay pucks with carrots inside, one of many favourite treats! Here are some pictures of my Guinea Girls!

Hello!

About a week ago I walked into the Humane Society on River Street for the first time, I have never been in any of the locations before so this was big for me.

I’ve wanted to get rats for a few years now, but I wanted to wait until I had the money for them, and finally I do. So I went on line, and saw these two beautiful sisters who were named Orchid and Gladiolus and I knew that they were going to come home with me the next day. So I walked into the Humane Society the next day, and I filled out the questionnaire, had the interview, did the meet-and-greet, and I adopted them! So far it’s been really great, I’ve been spending as much time as I can with them, and I’ve also renamed them, Red and Blue.

So far so good!
