Christopher Farley

Christopher Farley

May 15, 2015

It has almost been a year since we adopted Greeley (Now Christopher Farley). Instantly, he felt like part of our family. Chris loves belly rubs and to be the little spoon in bed with us at night. When we adopted Chris he weighed 28 pounds and could not jump up onto furniture. We traded his dry food for wet diet food and he is now down to 17 pounds. Now, Chris loves to chase the laser pointer around the house and he can even make high jumps. Adopting Chris has been an amazing experience for both my partner and I. We definitely recommend adopting a senior cat!

Thank you for bringing Christopher into our lives!

Hercule and Carlin

Hercule and Carlin

To the wonderful THS staff:

I just wanted to say thank you SO much for the lovely cat gift basket I won from the Open House’s raffle. I brought it home today and my cats (Hercule and Carlin- both adopted from THS!) had so much fun with everything! They loved the hand knitted/crocheted blankets and toys the most. Right now Hercule is curled up asleep on one of the blankets I put in a box and Carlin is asleep in the (now empty) gift basket itself!

These cats have brought so much joy to my life and I thank you all for making it possible! I’ve attached photos of the cats enjoying their new haul! Thanks again!

Sincerely,

Chelsea Klaiber

Stan

Stan

May 12, 2015

It’s been almost two months since we brought Stan home and he’s doing great! He’s such a sweet little guy who love cuddles and snuggles. He gets along great with his big bro Finn and loves running around the dog park.

Anyone reading this please at least consider adopting a shelter/rescue animal before buying from a breeder. There are thousands of great pets at shelters and rescues that have ended up there for many reasons- they’re not defective or damaged goods.

Felicity

Dear staff and Loretta,

Felicity was adopted in early March. She was really scared and shy with us for about one month. Now she is loving her new home. She loves to be brushed and is playing with all her new toys. Felicity has been to the vet and was so good getting her shot. She is eating well and can’t wait to watch the birds from the back door and living room window. She is so quiet at night and eagerly awaits tummy rub each morning.

Thank you for your help in her adoption. She is a wonderful pet.

Sincerely, Bruce and Liz Arkwright

Benani

Benani

May 06, 2015

Benani continues to adapt and is enjoying her new home. She enjoys going out and to jump into water, playing with other dogs although she is starting to show her dominance. We take her to the dog park, on a daily basis and she enjoys running and playing fetch, as well as chasing and being chased by other dogs.!

Thank you.
Bashar

Xena

Xena

May 04, 2015

Xena has only been with me for 6 weeks but it feels like we have been together for ever, she is now in her forever home. Xena has settled in amazingly well, she is smart, attentive, loving and feisty, everything I wanted for her. She had a lot of mistrust and possession issues and she has mastered most of them: she lets me hand feed her, she brings me her toys so I can play with her, she is learning to ‘leave’ things like chasing cars and anything furry or feathered. She still isn’t sure of other dogs or humans but she is getting better at listening to commands when distractions are around her. She is my high energy jumping bean but that is what I love about her and she likes nothing better than to snuggle up under her blanket beside me when it is down time for both of us.

She took to her new name from day one and it suits her so well, she has enriched my life more than I could have imagined and I would like to say thank you to the THS and all the dedicated staff and volunteers who look after pets like Xena until they find their true homes.
