Georgy

Georgy

May 31, 2015

Hello

We adopted “Ranger” now called Georgy in December 2014. At first, George was timid leaving the basement. He slowly became more confident, he is a major part of the family now. He loves to play with catnip and eat. He enjoys cuddling and rubbing his face into yours.

Adopting Georgy was the best decision we have made.

Hello to all my friends at the Toronto Humane Society. Thank you for taking such good care of me so my mum could come and find me and take me to my forever home. At first it was really hard for my fur brother Harold, who had recently lost his most-loved sister, to accept me. And I was really scared and I cried all the time and tore around like a crazy man. But now everything is so lovely and we love each other so much. Just look at how happy my brother and I are in our cat house together! We play and we snuggle and we clean each others’ ears and sleep in the sunny patches and we get lots of belly rubs and hugs from mum. Mum wants me to say a big thank you to the Humane Society not only for bringing me into her life but also for helping us through the difficult patch we had the first few months. And she wants to let any humans who have recently adopted and are having a rough beginning know that it can all work out—just take it day by day and follow the advice of the lovely and caring people at the Humane Society. It’s time for my brother and I to go play on our leashes in the backyard, so meow for now!

Purrs and licks,

Jack

Sylvester

Sylvester

Good afternoon to all the THS staff!

I am giving you another update again one year later about how I have been doing with my seven-year-old male cat Sylvester that I have adopted from the Toronto Humane Society almost two years ago.

Because I have been giving Sylvester lots of love such as hugging and kissing to him daily, my cat has put so much trust with me that he has been enjoying to sleep on top of my tummy all the time. As a result, my cat begins to get on top of me after he feels lonely sleeping by himself underneath the scratching post’s sleeping cave.

I have been enjoying so much to have my seven-year-old male cat living with me for almost two years because I love him a lot to pieces; moreover, I am a big feline lover.

Sylvester will turn eight years of age until September 17, 2015, and my two-year anniversary will be on October 23, 2015.

When time passes by, I hope my cat Sylvester continues living with me eternally when next decade arrives which is the 2020s.

P.S. I would like to thank all of the THS staff, for helping me to match my right feline during my adoption time back in October 2013.

Beckett

Beckett

May 26, 2015

Hi,

I just want to drop a note to say thank you again for your help in the process of adopting Beckett, the one year old terrier chihuahua mix.

Beckett is very well behaved and adapt to his new home very well. He walks three times a day and girls would just go “aaaaw” every time they see him. He is so adorable and well behaved. He sits, comes when called and go to his bed when told. He loves snuggling on the sofa with us and he has plenty of toys.

Every time someone stops us to ask what kind of dog he is (because he is so awesome) I told them how great it is to adopt from the humane society of Toronto. Everyone are very super friendly and helpful. Thank you again for all your amazing work for these wonderful animals smile

Cheers,
Maya

Brodie

Brodie

May 25, 2015

Brodie was featured a few times for the Society. She was a fundraising campaign subject, she also appeared on the cover and was the feature story in the 1999 Fall/Winter issue of Animal Talk and she was Miss June in the 2000 calendar. She arrived at the society May 1999, a 6 month old hit by car with a broken rear right leg and fractured pelvis. The Society’s medical staff with the help of Guelph Veterinary college fixed her up and I adopted her after being her Forster caregiver for 6 months. On May 1st here at home with myself and her vet at her side our 16 year journey together ended peacefully. She was the greatest gift I ever gave myself being perfect in every way, she will be forever missed.

Rufus

We’ve had Rufus now since January 2, 2015. Almost 6 months!!

He’s obsessed with playing fetch. Will chase the ball and bring it back..only to do it over and over again. he’s one of the most popular dogs at the park!!

He’s also an avid hiker who enjoys the many different trails. He will chase squirrels or chipmunks though the forest; then come running to catch up with us once we get out of sight and call him.

Thanks again to the Toronto Humane Society for all the hard work you do.

Nutmeg

Nutmeg

May 24, 2015

Hey there,

I only just adopted today, but I know there were some worries about Nutmeg settling in. She’s doing just fine. She was nervous at first and spent a lot of time in the closet, but she’s been claiming the room as her own, exploring every nook and cranny, and demanding quite a few petting sessions! smile

She is a wonderful cat and I’m so glad that she was sent back before because now I get to have her in my life.

Thank you so much for helping you out. I don’t know if this was too early to send an email about Nutmeg, but I’m so happy to have her that I couldn’t resist.

Ollie

Ollie

May 21, 2015

My boyfriend and I adopted Ollie a few months ago after her being in shelters for at least a year. At first she ran under the bed and couldnt be coaxed out. After working with her for a few days she started to come out and go to her bed. Ollie sometimes is a little shy and likes to stay under the bed, sometimes she will roam the main floor and walk around and explore. She loves jumping onto the bed and getting brushed and pet. She will purr like crazy and rub her face on hands and brushes.Ollie also recently visited the vet and is on a plan to lose some weight and hopefully allow her better health and more energy. Ollie now has a scheduled feeding time and will leave her bed and meow until she gets her food every morning like clockwork. The work with Ollie isnt complete yet, but we adore her and we wont give up on this little cutie. Thank you to the humane Society for allowing us the opportunity to meet and adopt Ollie and have her join our little family!

Happy has been with us 8 years now. Time flies! Shortly after adopting Happy we moved to California.

Happy enjoys Golden Gate park and loves the beach.

Happy had a few dental issues but all was taken care of at the vet.

He’s doing great and we really enjoy his friendship.

Lily

Lily

May 15, 2015

Our family adopted “Winnie” who now goes by Lily in June 2013 and she has quickly settled in so happily and made all our hearts filled with love! As we wandered through the humane society Lily grabbed our attention as she stood on her back legs and meowed and meowed at us to come see her - at that moment we knew we had been chosen by her. She is such a kind and cute little cat and has grown to be very affectionate and loving with us all. Lily will follow you wherever you go, as she wants to be a part of everything that is going on in the house. She will speak to you with cute little meows and purrs whenever you talk to her, its adorable. She is such a silly girl who loves to play, chat and she definitely loves her belly rubs! I just wanted to say thank you to the amazing team at the Toronto Humane Society. Without all their hard work and dedication we would have never found our youngest and furriest family member.

Thanks Again!
Carly, Brooke, Adam & Jack smile
