Good afternoon to all the staff at the Toronto Humane Society.

I have been having my cat Sylvester (formerly known as Dolce Vita) for the past four months. The day that I came to adopt my cat Sylvester was on October 23, 2013.

During the past four months, my cat has gained my affection as he has become very attached with me because my cat misses me so much everytime I am not home and at work. Every time I am unlocking my apartment’s door and coming inside, my cat always gets very excited that he starts mewing at me; and then he begins to roll around the floor and he also runs around the house.

Whenever I am on the computer checking my e-mails and browsing on Facebook, my cat always likes to get on top of my computer’s table; moreover, my cat begins to walk on top of my laptop’s keyboard for my love and attention. Even though I am busy replying to my important messages on Facebook and on my personal e-mail’s account, I have to stop typing temporarily, and I always kiss my cat on his nose and head. As a result, my cat loves it so much whenever I stop typing temporarily on my PC for me to give my love and attention; and then my cat will get off my PC’s table and leave me alone. If I fail to give my love and attention to my cat while I am busy typing on my PC, then my cat will begin to get upset that he will begin biting my hands. As I love my cat so much with all of my heart, I am always patient with my cat whenever he bothers me by getting on top of my laptop’s keyboard even though I am busy.

During bedtime, my cat always loves to sleep on top of my legs and sometime between my thigh and tummy; moreover, my cat always likes to crawl on top of my blanket overnight; and then he will relax and sleep on top of my tummy or legs. I have been enjoying so much, for my cat Sylvester to keep me company overnight whenever he sleeps on top of my legs or tummy.

Sincerely yours,

I would like to share that I have adopted a grey girl at your adoption blitz on November 15th at Petsmart on Laird.

At that time her name was Starburst and she is a grey—looks part Blue Russian 6mos old. She has been the most wonderful cat I have ever met and very smart.

I have changed her name to Pearl as she is round grey and beautiful. I will mail you a few pictures as people think she is a model.

Thank you for helping me to come across this lovely cat

Dear THS,

I never knew what joy could come from adopting my darling little kitty Mercury. It has been almost a year since I picked her up and she has changed my life in so many wonderful ways.

She’s the most loving and affectionate cat I could ever imagine and I cannot imagine life without her!

Thank you for all you have done and will do, for the millions of pets and pet owners out there.

We’ve had Calvin (previously Calpurnio) for almost two months now and wanted to send a quick update: We love him!

He loves exploring and playing. His favorite toys are pipe cleaners and a little pink stuffed mouse. He loves playing the equivalent of whack-a-mole with the holes in the box he came home in, bopping the mouse on the head as it peeks through the holes.

We took him home in December, and he’s the best gift we could have asked for! Thanks for all your hard work, THS.

Hello everyone from THS,

This last October my girlfriend and I had to put down a cat we adopted from another shelter as he had FeLV and his kidneys were shutting down. This left an empty spot in our hearts for awhile. We decided to adopt another cat before the holidays in December, we live in Richmond Hill and both work so we were always looking at what cats were in your shelter as we heard of great stories from friends about you and since you already test for all diseases and don’t declaw that was a big thing for us.

We came down and looked at all the cats looking at the black ones as I was told they get over looked and being a huge pet lover upset me a little bit. We came across a kitten named Mimi who we just felt was the right fit for us we adopted her that evening both of us excited and. We decided on naming her Jade but recently we’ve attached a nickname to her being “squeaks” as she loves to make little noises when jumping up on stuff like a squeak. She was quite comfortable in our apartment after just 24hrs which was a shock to us and in under a month she was jumping on our laps nudging us for pets and chin rubs.

We want to thank everyone from the THS and we will be down again for another kitten this year so Jade can have a play partner.

Dear Toronto Humane Society,

I just wanted to send a few photos of our new kitty named Joey, who we adopted from you just over a week ago. He has already stolen our hearts and he is just too cute!! He seemed to instantly adjust to our place, just popped right out of his little carrier and ran around to inspect, and was totally bold about it.

He is very cuddly and loves to be picked up. His favorite activities are napping and playing. He likes to sleep up on the bed at night, he is so funny- he always wants to sleep by one of our faces for some reason, which is adorable! He loves his Bart Simpson toy- we like to watch the Simpsons at night before bed and it is hilarious to see kitty hugging or throwing his Bart toy while we watch the show. lol.

Anyhow we just wanted to thank you guys for giving us the opportunity to take home this wonderful little guy. He really makes our home even better and brings us a lot of happiness!

Thanks to Nicole for being so thorough and helpful with the adoption process. She was so knowledgeable and did a great job answering our questions! I am attaching some photos as well, have a great weekend!

Hi All

Here’s a picture of Thorpe with his new owner Mark (13). Mark was thrilled with his unexpected Christmas present and Thorpe adjusted to his new home instantly. He loves to explore, snuggle and purrs like a motorboat. Mark has named him Mack.
Thank you for the wonderful care and service you provide.

Best Regards

Pepper our cat with no eyes was adopted from you two years ago.

This is a photo of her enjoying a glass of water. She likes sitting on the dining table and steals whatever she finds.

Lexi is proof that no dog is beyond redemption. She came to me scared and anxious. Now she is a big goofball and loves cuddle time. If you’re willing to put in the effort to work with them - it’s worth it!

She is flourishing and doing well with her new diet, off leash adventures and lots of cuddles/love. A huge thank you to Eric from TSH for seeing me through those first couple weeks as Lexi and I adjusted to each other.

Keep up the great work Eric and crew!
