Ziggy
A10793712
Neutered
Male, 2
Hello, my name is Ziggy. I am a 2 year old, neutered male. I have suspect inflammatory bowel disease which causes loose stool.
I am going on a new treatment to see if it will help my condition, and am looking for a special, loving foster home while we see if it is working. I will be on foster for about 2 months.
My treatment will consist of a dietary supplement that is mixed into my food, as well as a medication I will receive once a week. I will also be on a special diet.
I am a very friendly guy who just needs a chance to resolve my condition before my forever home can find me.
If you're willing to help me out for a short time, please contact the foster department: rdrummond@torontohumanesociety.com.

Seeker
A11221101
Spayed
Female, 8
Hello, my name is Seeker. I am an 8 year old, spayed female.
I don't like it at the shelter - everything is new and scary and I'm so stressed out that I haven't wanted to eat since I got here.
I am looking for a very special foster home where I can relax and trust the people around me. Then I can regain my appetite and start to live the life a cat should live.
My ideal home would be very quiet with patient foster parents who are willing to work with me and socialize with me. If you think you could help me out, I need to leave ASAP!
If you're interested, please contact: rdrummond@torontohumanesociety.com

Fluffy

Neutered
Male, 3 years
Hello, my name is Fluffy. I am a 3 year old, neutered male. I am a lovely boy with a long, beautiful black coat, and I will purr like a lion when I'm brushed! When I came into the shelter, my owners had concerns about a possible urinary blockage, but the vets at THS have not yet seen any evidence of this. Just to be sure, my foster parent should use clumping litter to more easily monitor my litter box activity.

Abby
A10961018
Spayed
Female, 3 Years
Meet Abby!
Abby was surrendered to us by her owner and has had a hard time adjusting to shelter life. She likely has been suffering from separation anxiety. Abby also has a problem with her right eye. This will require "Natural Tears" drops twice daily.
She will need time to adjust to her new surroundings although may be shy at first. We are looking for a foster home for her for a few weeks to see if there is any improvement to the eye.
If you have space in your heart and home for Abby If you're willing to help me out for a short time, please contact the foster department: rdrummond@torontohumanesociety.com.

Cinamon
A11073208
Neutered
Male, 4
Hello, my name is Cinamon (yes, I know it’s unusual spelling…).
I am a 4 year old, neutered male. I came to the shelter in July. Originally, I was a street cat, so I’m just learning to be comfortable with all the attention I’m getting here. I am looking for a foster home for 2-3 weeks that can give me lots of TLC and teach me what being a spoiled house cat is all about.
If you think you could help me out, please contact the foster department: rdrummond@torontohumanesociety.com.

Whispy
A11030331
Neutered
Male, 8 Years
Hi my name is Whispy and I am diabetic.
My diabetes hasn’t progressed too far yet and I'm not currently on insulin or any other meds. The people at the shelter just want me to spend a month in a home to assess my condition and make sure I will be okay to be adopted without medication.
Sometimes I can be a little shy so I would prefer a quiet home and lots of love.
If you think you could take me into your home for about a month and make sure I am ok for adoption, please contact the foster department: rdrummond@torontohumanesociety.com.

Abbigal was transferred to us from another shelter that was no longer able to take care of her. She came to us so she could have the chance she deserves to find her forever home. When she came to us she was vet checked and it was discovered that she was not yet spayed and had a chipped tooth. Other then this she was given a clean bill of health!
She has now been spayed and we have removed the tooth. Before we send her to her new forever home we are looking for someone who can provide her a loving and caring home in which she can recover from her surgeries. Animal type: Dog
Daisy
A10973191
Female, 2 Years
Meet Daisy. This new mom and her three puppies were recently transferred to The Toronto Humane Society from Animal Control near Woodstock Ontario. They have a heartbreaking story to tell.
Daisy was first discovered scavenging for food in a dump. She was trying to find food not only for herself, but to feed her babies. When they arrived in our care at The Toronto Humane Society, they desperately needed medical attention. All of the dogs had contracted an unusual array of diseases, probably as a result of their living conditions and feeding off of the garbage dump. Some of the diseases were able to be treated right away, but others are more serious and complex. We have treated and cleared Daisy’s puppies for adoption, two of which have already been placed in their forever homes! Unfortunately, Daisy is still on medication for heartworm, which she tested a weak positive for upon her arrival.
Daisy is very fearful but is also very gentle. We are looking for a foster-to-adopt home where she can finish her medication and receive he love and attention she deserves. She won't be availble to go to her foster home until August 26th and will stay there for about a month. After the medication is finished we would then spay her at which time she can be adopted by her foster parents!
If you think you are the right person for Daisy please contact the foster department at rdrummond@torontohumanesociety.com. Or come down to the Shelter at 11 River St. for more information.

Animal type: Cat
Bee Bee
A11226439
Neutered
Male, 3 Months
Meet Bee Bee!
This lovely playful kitten came to us recently as a transfer from Toronto Cat Rescue. His story begins at a local animal clinic where he was brought in by owners for vet care but they never returned for him. It is possibly because of his medical issues that the owners were not willing or able to take care for little Bee Bee.
He has very severe vision problems. It does seem that he has some vision in one of his eyes but is completely blind in the other. This does not seem to slow him down much though as he is very energetic and playful!
We have neutered him and made an appointment for him to see an opthamologist so that we can determine what the best course of action is for him.
We are looking for a foster home for a couple of months where he can undergo his vet care while receiving the love and support of a foster family! If you think you can help this little guy please contact the foster department at rdrummond@torontohumanesociety.com.
