The Toronto Humane Society was founded in 1887 and has been the leader in animal care in Toronto for 119 years. The Society is an independent not-for-profit organization that receives no government funding, and is supported only by individual and corporate donations. The Society, which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, provides a desperately needed haven for lost, injured and abandoned animals in the City of Toronto.
The following positions are currently available at the Toronto Humane Society:
Shelter Worker
Required for Canada’s largest humane society. Great opportunity for experience in cleaning, feeding etc. a wide range of dogs, cats, other small domestics and wildlife in a rehabilitative environment.
Requirements:
No experience necessary, but experience handling animals of various sizes (small, medium, large), and dealing with difficult dogs is desirable.
Shifts Available: Weekend, evening, overnight.
Rate: $10.00/hour.
